Transcribing… [00:02:00] Cara: I've been following Natalie on Tik-tok and I love the messages she shares. She helps uplift others and a spiritual journey. She is passionate about the healing journey and the soul's expansion. I had done a meditation and ask the universe to guide me to the soul aligned people, to join me on this podcast. And Natalie came right to me in my dream. I believe in signs and felt called to reach out to her. Hi, Natalie, and welcome to the show. Natalie: Hi, thank you very much for having me on here. It's an absolute pleasure Cara: So I'd like to dive in my question is what are some self-care [00:03:00] practices that are non-negotiable for you? Natalie: for me. Self care starts with the journey inwards. Always being on top of your emotions. So for me, that looks like journaling, meditation, breath, work, yoga, physical activity. of course the most important, which is energy clearing and protection. Cara: I think that's perfect. That's actually one of my meditations I released this week was energy clearing. I found that being a hairstylist, I would absorb all those energies around me and I would feel so depleted at the end of the day. And so I made a short little energy clearing meditation for anyone who deals with people on a regular basis. So I do feel like energy clearing is important. Natalie: it really is. And I think if you first started on your journey, it's one of the. That I would absolutely recommend you focus on [00:04:00] first is your own emotions where you're putting your energy and make making sure that you are protecting them. Because as you said, there's an energy transfer all throughout the day. when you keep on top of your spiritual hygiene, the rest really just follows. Cara: Yeah, I love that. I would love to know what are some of your favorite energy clearing practices. Natalie: Okay. So I have several, it really depends on the type of clearing that needs to be done. So I would recommend, you know, doing a full clear in a once weekly to really just shift all of the old energy out. But you can do that for. Smoke cleanses water, bath salts visualization, generally as a daily one, and really just tapping into the physical body as well, because that is just a, it's a way of monitoring your own energy and seeing how it's impacted situations and other [00:05:00] people. the more you tune with yourself, the easier it is cleanse in a method which has beneficial for you. Cara: I feel like an important part of the spiritual journey is finding out how to get in tune with yourself and listening to those emotions and those feelings that kind of build up. And the more you practice, the easier it is. But it is hard at first. Natalie: Yeah. Um, Cara: you realized that that needed to be a part of your daily or weekly activity. Natalie: okay. So it's with the head in journey, I mean, you and I both know is not an easy journey to go inwards. And what I'm talking about, like this practice that I talk about have been implemented over like a six month period, but with the, the insight into the emotional immaturity that I did have at one point. So it's really you have to take the time slowly to understand yourself, to then better manage your [00:06:00] emotions and to then understand where the root cause of the problem is. And to be mindful of the energy and the projections that you spill out into the world. And that is whole practice in itself, which takes time and. As, you know, as, as we know, the only way out , is for you, is through how, how you do things for yourself. Do you make yourself feel better and how to identify your triggers and how to come back and chain with your own body, but it really does. It takes time to figure out what works exactly for you. Cara: Definitely. heard you mentioned emotional immaturity and I know that speaks so deeply to me. It took a lot of self reflection and self-awareness to understand how I would react to things was ultimately. Emotional immaturity. And did that awaken you in your process and your journey? Natalie: so the emotional maturity is as you said, like, when were you in it? You don't realize that's your way of [00:07:00] being, because you're operating from a place of damaged ego from a place of like you know, her in a child hurting a teenager. And really for me and my personal journey? it was awakened to the fact that people are always given out of love. And whilst that's how I operate, not everybody else does. And there was a lots of triggers that happened in relation to people to help me to see that , I was being naive. I was being emotionally immature because I was emotionally. And the only way to deal with that was to go inwards inside of myself and to slowly change the way that I see life. I other people and you tap into yourself, you, you tap into the lens of love. So the inside coming out again. And you begin to see the world in a brass away and in an emotionally mature way as well. Marker Cara: Yeah, definitely. I feel that so much. My journey of emotional immaturity was a hard one [00:08:00] to deal with and knowing that how we show up emotionally for other people, isn't always available to those people. And so our feelings can get hurt. can these expectations, but learning that, you know, our expectations might be higher because we try to expect the same of other people. It's like once we let that go and understand that our emotions are our emotions and someone else's emotions are someone else's emotions. And we really aren't responsible for someone else's but we are responsible on honoring how they feel. Natalie: yes. I love the way that you've just worded that as well, because that's one thing that I noticed in my journey that you can fall into is wanting to provide love, because you can see that somebody is hurt or is, is hurting. But like you said, there's got to be that line and you're not responsible for other people's emotions. then that's where you have to try and bring it back to self. Like what, what can I give myself that I feel. like is um, that [00:09:00] I'm missing in my life? What do I feel like I'm going to it from other people and trying to, to balance your own emotions then try and you know, give. Give love and compassion to the people, but we've setting that boundary so that you're not giving too much of yourself. And it's just, you know, your, your soul is being drained. Your energy has been drained because you, you know, people are responsible for themselves. Cara: Yeah, and I love that you brought up boundaries. again, that's another lesson that I've had to learn in my journey is just regular physical boundaries, energetic boundaries, and understanding that you don't set your own boundaries, not up to anybody else to set them for you. So if you have the expectations or a certain mindset, you know, it's up to you to that boundary setter, to make sure that you're protected and that you aren't disappointed in your expectations. Natalie: Yeah, but again, I think I'm like just for the listeners is it [00:10:00] takes time to set those boundaries, especially if you've come from a place where , you've never had to set those boundaries or you're learning how to, , that it is a process and you know, there's trials and there's errors and they're seen how, how you work. And there's, you know, that, develops into the emotional maturity because you begin to understand exactly what you need, what other people can give you, what other people take from you. And really, like you said, is, is energetic boundaries, personal boundaries. And, but it takes time and people shouldn't be too hard on themselves through the journey. Cara: Yes, thank you for bringing that up because I realized that the boundary setting was my own journey to follow and, even two years in. To this journey that I've been on, it's still very, very hard set those boundaries to keep strong to those boundaries and to have those people that aren't used to you having boundaries, understanding that this is something important to you and [00:11:00] ultimately for your wellbeing, you know, you set them a reason to protect yourself finding the way to share those with those people around you without ultimately hurting them or their boundaries. Natalie: Yes, And the only way out through that situation to really learn from it is to experience it. And it goes back to that trial and error with people testing what works, testing, what doesn't and yeah, like you said, it's a long journey and it's a never ending journey, when you can tap into your own lens of love, then that's what you'll see in the rest of the world, than tapping into your own lens of fear, which, know, we're fortunately, is it sad that a lot of people do actually view the world with so much fear and we have so much like resentment as well. So. As soon as you can tap into your inner love, your inner emotions. That's what you're, that's what you'll see in your, in your own incredible little mini universe. Cara: Yes, it is definitely a never ending journey. When you [00:12:00] realize, you know, how much power you have within yourself, it's always a struggle. And you know, I have a lot of friends that have. Become into the spiritual world. And, you know, it's, I feel like one day it's wow, all these things are coming. It feels so great. And then the next day it's like your inner child needs love. You are definitely going through the dark period and it's just trying to connect with inside and the love inside you. , that's a really great reminder that anytime you feel disheartened in the process, you know, find that love with it. And I love that. That's a great reminder. Natalie: yeah, it's right. We do need to find the love of in, but not forget to go back to all, you know, each past version of ourself that is still hurting and to give that love when sometimes we just, we can't give that love out to the world. Like you said, you just, you give it inwards and you look after yourself in any, any way that you can. Cara: Yeah, I have found that any time I've felt unsupported in my external life, is because I am not [00:13:00] supporting myself internally. it's that projection you put on people, and then you take a moment and you go, wow, okay. You know, let me do those things that I'm trying to find externally for myself. And the majority of the time, that's all I needed was to listen to that hurt child that hurt teenager, you know, even hurt adults and give it love and nourishment and attention and listen to yourself, you know, write journal, you know, however you need to process those things. It's usually coming back to yourself, we'll help you through it. You know, having friends and support system is obviously always a bonus, but I do find connecting with myself is usually where I need to start. Natalie: Yeah. I'm so glad that you brought that up as well. I think with like a lot of the shifts that are happening and there's this regurgitation of old energy, old ways of being that are coming up and really allowing people to see how much work they've put in how much has been healed and to make a choice then, [00:14:00] because everything that we have a choice all of the time. And to make that choice on, do I want to continue on the path that I was out or would I like to continue on fall back into old cycles or patterns, things that don't serve me. And the only way to, to bring yourself back is through your own practice. And as you said, you know, journaling or meditation and just doing what you need to do to bring back to a harmonious heart center and you can move forward in the most productive way. Cara: I know in my own journey, having a spiritual connection was the main reason for my transformation. I saw in one of your videos, the difference in what spirituality did for you, you take me through the process of how spirituality changed your life? Natalie: Absolutely. Yes, spirituality. It creeped up on me. And in September, 2020, I was having to deal with a lot of trauma that had resurfaced. And I was dealing with [00:15:00] addictions with codependency issues, fighting these inner demons. And I was guided towards a meditation to connect with my spirit guides. It was the most profound experience I had ever had. And there was this overwhelming sense of unconditional love in that moment. And even as I'm talking about it, I feared it just taken over my body. It's a type of love that you can never forget. And that was just reconnecting with my guides. And then from there, I went on to sound heading and really just trying to find the center of, of inside of me free sound and really the rest kind of just followed. I began to pick up on things about myself that weren't necessarily nice. You know, they were actually quite toxic and over time, I mean, this was a, this is spanning over. As I said, a year and a half, I completely cut out all of the toxins that were going into my body. So like drugs, alcohol cigarettes, [00:16:00] and was really difficult. It was really difficult to, you know, cut that side of myself off, but it was what was putting me down energetically. I then went vegetarian, decided to make a lifestyle change and began just moving my body a little bit more. And when I say moving my body to sweat more, I was obese. I wasn't able to cross my legs. I wasn't able to move properly. I had physical health problems that were continuing to manifest into my experience. And the change was actually internally there. Wasn't you know, there wasn't huge things that I did. I wasn't exercising day. I wasn't making sure that I was eating perfectly, really the attention went inwards and it was very much a chasing my own tail. things don't happen? how can I move forward? How, can I grow? Because this isn't good enough, right? And whilst it's not great that it came from that place or this isn't good enough. allows me [00:17:00] to emotionally mature in my own way. It allows me to cut out all of the things that are so harmful to my mental health, my physical health, my spiritual health. And here we are year and a half later, ready for a completely new cycle. And really it was by going inwards and the weight just fell off me. I just matured. I mean, there was a lot of trauma. There was a lot of lessons that came with it, but the safe pace was inside. And that's what I put my attention on. And still. Cara: Well, first off, you should celebrate yourself for making those hard decisions, taking those toxins and removing it out of your life. know personally, my, spiritual journey started very similarly and making those investments in yourself is something that is so hard in the moment, but I'm sure looking back, you know, it's completely changed her life. I know it completely changed mine and, you know, The important [00:18:00] part is not only did you do it for yourself now, you're in a position where you can guide people to do it for themselves and change their life and just watching you on Tiktok I can see that happening. So that's so powerful and you should definitely make sure you're celebrating yourself in the journey, because I know personally, I forget to do that is to celebrate the wins and along the way. And I find when you take the moment to celebrate, you know, it brings more of that love and light into your life and reflects out. And, it shows people to, you know, you do the hard work, but you have to take a moment and do the self-care and the things that really light you up. Marker Natalie: Yeah, you you're completely right. It really is a journey. And I appreciate that. Sometimes we do forget congratulate ourselves we, you know, as we're in the journey and it's our own journey we just do. And then it's only when you get to a point it's you, you are forced to reflect, okay. What, what was changed. And then for me, I've found very recently has been more bewildering began to [00:19:00] struggle with the way that I was seeing myself. Like, is this really who I am is a bit it is. And you, know, when you begin to see your heart come outward, , it's a profound, it's a scary experience and the fingers, your hot can any pull your hot Coney show. Once you've removed the layers, of the trauma of the fear to get to your heart and to experience the love of life. Cara: Yeah, that's so beautiful. my journey very much started with a meditation that changed my life. I had done a meditation of like my perfect day and not like a, I win the lottery perfect day. If I could live my day, any way that I wanted and at the time. I was a hairstylist and life was really, really tough. It just felt like I was swimming upstream. And at the time , I was on a very strict to detoxing diet. You know, there was a lot of factors for that, but I still was having like a mindset issue. And so I was doing this meditation of my perfect [00:20:00] life and I saw myself doing hair I kind of laughed it off like, well, that's not possible. I have to work and, you know, have a family to provide for. And then, you know, just a few months later, COVID hit. And I was at home with my kids and I was focusing on my health and I was, diving deep into the health and wellness and spiritual journey for myself. And it was like, oh my gosh, was the exact meditation, know, the visualization I had, I saw future in that meditation. And it took, , a pandemic shutting everything down to realize that that could actually be an option. so when it came time to going back to work, , it took some time, it took some really deep soul finding, but, , I decided, , with my husband that going back to work. Wasn't in the cards for me at the time. And it was the best decision I've ever made for me and my kids and my family. I also feel like. cleaning up my diet, cleaning up. My products taking those toxins out of my [00:21:00] body. Also it was like this fog, you know, you have those toxins all around you, and then once you start making the little choices here and there it's like a clarity comes over at you. Did you find that with your personal experience, taking those toxins out or how has yours unfolded for you? Natalie: I just think it's magical or the fact that you were able to do that visualization as well, and really see what you want and just go after it. Cause this is what you're doing. So I just wanted to add that one in, but terms of the toxins I suppose the way we look at things is obviously different and my way of looking at things that I'm putting into my body. So if we go back to food, it was actually CCRC. I had contemplated on going vegan for about a year, had attempted. And then I just bought all, I watched his spirits. He, it was kind of like a moral thing. It was a, you know, it really started with that and then health. But actually I realized that along my journey, that the different [00:22:00] foods correlate to different energy centers and, meat products, really that there's fear often stored like energetically in the caucus of the animal, because animals lived his life in fear and that energy hasn't been transmuted. It hasn't been transferred. It's still there. And that, for me, that decision not to eat meat now from a moral perspective, but now actually understanding what it, what it does to my body and focused on. Really anything that was going to help to heal my energy centers. And that's not to say that the entire time, I started smoking again, I've eaten rubbish food since, but it comes from awareness and it comes with balance. And it's just making sure that , your body able to function in the correct way so that you can fulfill the tasks that you desire to fulfill. And you can live , in a functioning body, the way that you desire to live in a functioning body. Obviously, if you're [00:23:00] able-bodied and really, I just think I'm focusing on the right and , the energetic side has helped me to keep as many toxins at bay as possible. Cara: Yes. It's always a struggle trying to make right choices and decisions, , cause sometimes it's like, man, I really want those fries, ? Natalie: . Yeah. It really is. Especially it'd been a taurus season now, and this is you know, I'm a moon, so food, I absolutely love food and being in this season and that energy just amplified. It's an experience to really, again, look at my body's needs. Go back to what it is that I need and indulge just a tiny bit. little bit less than what I used to say. Cara: Yes, and I definitely feel. taurus energy. My husband is a taurus, sun and moon, and my daughter's a taurus son and I'm an Aries. And so I always said that my husband was brought to me to help me take a moment, take a beat, take a breath because I'm rearing and go in. And [00:24:00] he's like takes his good old time. So patience is my life lesson. And he is definitely helps me, , on a daily basis learned what patients is. Natalie: Oh, that's brilliant. I feel like we're, we're more aligned than both even realized. Cara: Yes, yes. Marker AD HERE Cara: I know there's a misconception that all healers are born knowing what they're meant to do to help others. Can you share your personal story as how you've turned into a healer and your. Natalie: I kind of differ on this one because I feel like if you are a born here then in order to understand and to know like truly that your healer, you first have to heal something. So because of that, , I find that a lot of the people I've spoken to and myself included have been put into difficult life situations to transmit that energy, to heal from it and to watch self grow, knowing that you can do it yourself. And [00:25:00] if you can heal yourself, you can heal anything. So I really feel like a, you know, people that are born in as, yes, I think people are placed in the right circumstances and experiences for their own sales growth. However, I feel like it is the inner job that helps you to understand that your header, and once you've opened up your heart center, you can allow the love that was always there to pour out into other people, to help them to heal. Cara: Yeah. I feel that so much in the sense of talking about the situations that are brought to you to heal, , I used to have such a victim mentality of all these things keep happening to me. Why do they keep happening? And now anytime there is any sort of friction or roadblock. Immediately, hopefully immediately, not always we'll look and say, what is the lesson in this? How can I learn from this? What can I do to grow from this? And I think that is a huge [00:26:00] factor in my mindset of trying to move forward versus getting stuck that victim mentality or stuck in those roadblocks and to kind of push through. It usually means that there is some sort of self-reflection that is needed before passing to the next level. Natalie: I'm super grateful that you brought that up the way that you did, because it's true. You know, if you've, if you can't move forward and aggressively, physically, emotionally, whatever it is, you can't move forward. Unless you've learned the lessons that you're meant to have learned. And this is where we talk about like the karmic cycles and being trapped in it because you're not seeing the lesson yet, and you're not letting. So with this journey, like you said, , you begin to become more aware of yourself and stop. yeah, Like the victim mentality. I had it. , it was really bad actually. And just seeing myself and seeing where the place it comes from allows me to, to heal that because obviously we don't know what we don't know. [00:27:00] Right. And yeah, it just helps you to, to move with your own flow of these situations, complete the lessons, do what you need to do and evolve, and you just end up , moving with the seasons, moving with the days. Cara: yeah, I've found that pretty much all situations that have felt really difficult in the moment when I look back, I am grateful for that because I've come so much farther in my growth because of those. And, we can take a moment, you know, five minutes, 24 hours, whatever you need to kind of sit in that pity party. And then, it's time to move on, figure out what you need to do to push forward and grow from it and figure out how to move forward. Because staying in that energy, you can sit in it, you can process it, you can think about it, but when you. Let it sit in your body. , I do feel like it gets trapped and then that can turn into illness, mental illness, physical illness, and anything. That's going [00:28:00] to make it harder on you. So just making sure you find the way to process it, acknowledge it, honor it, and then clear that energy out. Natalie: absolutely. Especially when you talked about the body is storing the. Because I don't think many of us even realize how much our body stores energy. So going back to like, just even the movement of like your body, just very slight movement is naturally just moving energy about, so it's not being stuck. It's not being repressed and it's not being stored most importantly. And especially like in relation to like the brew shakra as well, connecting back up outside in nature and connecting your energy field with the earth energy field and bringing yourself back into that energetic harmony with the world around you is a brilliant way to ground your energy, a brilliant way to come back to yourself and to connect with the, absolute beauty of the world as [00:29:00] well. What an all good job. Cara: Yeah. I had a situation a few weeks ago. It was really heavy. It was really difficult. And , it brought up a lot of those hurt inner child moments but when I had a moment to really sit with that energy, I,, walked outside barefoot. put on some music those are usually my top two ways to ground myself, to give myself a moment to let , that energy kind of pass through me and not in my body. And , it's not like you have to go out and do a hit workout, but just the act of walking in nature, moving my body, letting that music kind of heal me, was exactly what I needed. And I always think like, why did it take me a whole day to do this? Why didn't I do this immediately? You know, divine timing. I do feel like, but. It is something that , you have to remind yourself and I've been trying to keep a toolkit handy of, when my energy is low, , what [00:30:00] are the things that can raise my vibration so I can emit more love in my life. Nature and music, meditation, those are all things that are high priority on my list. And I would love to know what's on your list. Natalie: I absolutely loved that. What you've just said, because you don't need to do, like I said, a hit workout, you can just go outside barefoot and just breathe and be listened to music. And for people that aren't able-bodied and have difficulty with mobility, for example, even the simple, simple thing of just listening to different Solfeggio frequencies. The simple movement of your own breath can completely shift your own , perception on life and the way that you move forward. Again, you said about divine time and that sometimes we have the intuition to just go and something, which we know that will make us feel better, but to find time and, and things would just flow. How they're meant to having a tool box is so important. If you can figure [00:31:00] out the things that make you feel good and go back to them and know that you can go back to them, matter if there's like emotional turbulence in your life, or there's actually stuff that's going on in your physical reality, which is making you feel unsafe on the inside. Like you said , the methods that I use sound hidden, so February frequencies subliminal messages in them, because I find that with the subliminal messages, I get to enjoy the, music that just flows, but also know that when I'm in a state of flow, that the subliminal messages are reprogramming my subconscious mind. So I'm really just taking the easy road there, textures and smells and being in nature, move in, moving my body. There are some of the things that are in my toolkit. They're the things that I go to, first of all, and also having a good biggie to APA as well, because, you know, good tunes. Intro for #11: Are you looking to have a more easeful and purposeful life? Well, planning around [00:32:00] my cycle has changed my life. And I know with this concept, it can help other women take on the test. At the right times for more productivity. I created a free cycle planning principles to help guide you. Understand your cycle. For your work and home life. Visit Caradempsey.com/cycle. Or check the show notes. Marker Cara: Yeah. I think sometimes people think in the spirituality world that it's only meditation. it's so strict and that's not the case. I want the listeners to know that it could be painting. It could be dancing, a lot of times when you need to heal within and you need to move that energy, you think about what you used to do as a child and do that see how that sparks, creativity, anything to help kind of your vibration. Natalie: Absolutely we don't. Sin is a great one. For me personally, I had a lot of trauma that was stored in my body and I wanted to [00:33:00] dance. I just didn't know how to move my. And to me that looked like a very much, it was manifesting as like an insecurity, even when nobody was around, found it very difficult to move. And it took about six months of continual progress of just always trying to move my body in rhythm with music and connecting the two or something that was joyous. Something that allows me to move the energy around my body, raised my vibration. And I got to have a S you know, sink in session as well. But like I said, it's not just meditation. It's whatever feels right for you. And that, feels right to me, moving the, moving the energy and welcoming you vibrations into my experience. Cara: Yeah, I think an important part of my personal journey is figuring out who I am in the process and, using tools like my menstrual cycle, using the moon cycles, using my birth chart, using human [00:34:00] design, understanding like who I am as a person and honoring that. And then using the things that speak to me at the time and that changes every day. But the biggest thing that I could. Suggest to listeners is honor who you are. Don't fight it. If , you think you want to do something, but it feels silly to you. You should probably still do it. Just maybe do it with the blinds closed, until you feel comfortable. And so give yourself credit that you spent six months doing something that you really felt like you were called to do. And it took you in the practice of doing it to feel more comfortable with it. And with anything, it all takes practice. Whether it's dancing, meditation, journaling, the more you do it, the easier it becomes,, but mostly we'll start out being, difficult at first and that's okay. Things can be difficult at first and just keep coming back. As long as it's making you feel good, you're making progress, Natalie: yes, I absolutely that you just worried about so beautifully because It does take [00:35:00] time. And I think some of the misconceptions that come in the spiritual community is, if you're going to do X, Y, and Z, you know, yoga, meditation, and breath work, for example, which are popular in the community for valid reasons. But it can kind of come with that that misconception that if you are not doing one of those three things, or if you're not doing it in, so you're meditating for an hour and you're really in the zone and your mind's not flit in and going to different places, you may feel like you're doing it wrong. But like you said, , it's a process as a practice and you will find your own keys through yourself. what is it that you enjoy? got to get to know yourself. And like you said, like human design, your birth chart are ways to understand you are naturally. What were the things that you need to heal in this lifetime? What sh what can you be doing in this moment to progress you? And if you know, if you're wanting to stay, sit at the moment, that's fine. What's going to help you to feel still within you. And it, [00:36:00] like you said, , it's a practice. Cara: It is, I feel like the most important relationship you can ever have in your life is with yourself. And I know one of my personal lessons was feeling heard and seen. I always let other people kind of decide my fate, like, oh, you're good at this. You should do that. Versus sitting within myself, listening to myself. so building the relationship with myself has been one of the most important things, because I have found myself in the process. I can honor how my children are built in the process. And I think when we fight who we are, w then stop other people from being who they're supposed to be. And I think the world would be much of a better place than if we all allowed ourselves to come as we are, as long as we're coming from a place of love versus expecting, I did it this way. This is how you're supposed to do it, especially in like a spiritual journey. The whole point is you have to find one. Feels good to you in the process and [00:37:00] using the tools that other people have used may help you. But following someone's exact path is not going to help you because it's ultimately following your own path back to yourself is the end goal I find in spirituality. Natalie: It really is. And again, the way that you've just worded, that is about self and Cara: Okay. Natalie: easy to lose yourself in that because , you could be swimming like I was in a sea of Subaru and you've got to navigate through that. And as you said, it takes time to show up authentically because you first got to who you are you've got to go through the journey, you can't skip. You. Can't just skip to the end. You have to do the inner work, do the self discovery, and then there'll come a point where you can show up authentically and other people will feel like they can show up authentically. But again, it's just a, it's a practice. And the truth of the matter is. All of us are in this together. All of us experience [00:38:00] hardship, all of us experience, difficult emotions, and we should be working as a collective to help each other to heal in. However, that looks to you, doing whatever you do. And yeah, it just, takes time, but people will get there and we will all get there exactly where we're meant to be when we're meant to be there. Marker Cara: I love how you just said that. And I find that. You saying that we all go through hardships is just because I went through a hardship and you went through a hardship that doesn't take away from each other's hardship. It's like giving each other support and saying, , I know that's hard, let's get through it versus saying, well, my hardship is harder than your hardship. And it's more of, find yourself in support and then maybe try and find a way to support that person in the way that feels good. to them. feel like one of my mental roadblocks that I would always come up is I would be going through a hard time, but I would know someone else's going through a harder time that I wouldn't let myself, experience that hardship. And then I would ignore it [00:39:00] and then it would get stored in my body. It was like, I was ignoring myself because I thought paying attention to someone else. Was the right thing to do. And it's like, we can all through our hardship honor each other in the process and not about ourselves, you know, that. Natalie: yeah, I see that. And it could be very easy. To think that somebody is more deserving of love or deserving of that piece. And your, like you said, like invalidating your own experience. Because for me personally, I hadn't learned to feel, I didn't know what it was, what it was like to feel genuine, heartfelt emotions for myself. And that in itself , is scary. And it can put you into this like toxic toxic healing kind of moment where you just wanted everything to be perfect. But at the same time, your cutting yourself off from your own emotions and, and your own growth and your own development for the sake of other people, you know, other people are going through a tough time. I've already [00:40:00] been free mind. So okay. Now I can get through this. That's where community comes in him back to self comes in. Cara: Yeah, definitely. I find that honoring my own emotions was something that I had to teach myself. I, I think a lot of people in my age, age range, it's like, you're fine. You're fine. You know, it's. Saying like, okay, let me have this moment of feeling sad. Okay. How can we move from it versus being like, you're fine. You know, pull up, put on your boots. It's time to get going. And so finding my own emotions and honoring that has been a huge healing part because I think that was me not feeling heard is not because other people weren't hearing me it's because I wasn't giving myself that space. And then to add in just the layer of human design into it is my Intro for #11: Emotional centers open. Cara: I don't know if you know of your human design, ultimately what that means is I absorb other people's energy. it really would [00:41:00] confuse me when I would be in a room. I wouldn't know what, what is my energy and what was someone else's. I think that's why I had a hard time processing my own emotions is because I couldn't decipher what was mine and what was someone else's. I still have that problem, but I at least have the awareness now that I can take a moment. When I feel overwhelmed with emotion is to take a moment, take a breath, out of the room, feel in my body and say, what's mine, what's theirs. And then, hopefully come back into a more clear headed space, but it has been a very big life lesson to try and understand emotions. What's mine. When someone else is in the process. Natalie: Super glad that you mentioned human design, because again, that's obviously another tool that we've got and the fact that you are now able to know, like what energy centers open and come back to yourself to figure out what is yours and what isn't. That is incredible because that goes to show obviously the, a theater child that needs head and then the inner teenager, the wounded feminine, the wounded [00:42:00] masculine, and doing all of these things at once, going through such a profound transformation and seeing yourself from a spiritual level I had, for example, like what's in your birth chart and your human design, it's it just, It brings this new found awareness of self. With human design. I believe that I'm not a hundred percent sure what it is specifically, but I'm a generator. So obviously I bring the energy in and I transmute it and then I release it and I have open upper shakras as well. So that's why going back to the energy protection, when you understand self and you understand that you can look into yourself and what is it that I need to function? Who is it that I am? And you protect your energy, you doing regular clearing to make sure that you're not taken on anybody. Else's. And that your power, all of your power and all of your energies back with you now, then you can, you can move out of a false sense of self and you can discern exactly what's yours. Exactly. What's not. And it helps you to maneuver [00:43:00] And fortunately, some of the like people's like projections and even for your own projections as well, helps you to bring yourself back to center just by having the tools, Marker Cara: I've seen you talk about energy transmutation and I would love for you to dive a little bit more into that. So our listeners understand what it means and the power behind it. Natalie: Okay. So we are all energy on a cellular level, on a subatomic level. We are all energy. And the practice of energy transmutation is first is to see yourself is to look the shadow part of self. And this is a process when I talk about energy transmutation, I talk about shining light on the shadow, and that could be the shadow, this in your, in your experience for people and that you need to protect yourself from, or somewhat of in yourself that you need to change and to to bring to light. So part of energy transportation when you're calling back all of your power and all of your energy, and really like , fit in that energy flow [00:44:00] for your physical. And releasing energy, which is not, which is not yours. Visualize in light is like light from the universe to help transfer that energy and to have it. So it's not so like dense on the physical body, the physical vessel and that as a continual practice, because energy transmutation like essentially where we're transferring energy all of the time. And I think it's one thing that it's so easy to forget, but all of the time everywhere we walk, every word we speak is spellbinding. And in the, in the universe, wherever that you'd be out in the shop and you a conversation with somebody and I'm going to see you, this person is having a terrible day and is you haven't protected your energy. So all of their projection you're absorbing it. If you're an empath or you've got open shakras then it's just been absorbed so easily. So the practice of energy transmutation is to always come back to yourself. And again, we've [00:45:00] spoken about what is mine and what isn't mine. And calling back your power, calling back your energy, practicing movement of the body. Us as again, we've spoken about to release the energy that you've absorbed and making sure that you're clear and you're protected so that you can, you can hear your own words. You can hear the whispers of your heart, and you can hear yourself rather than it. being is like static, like energetic, static, because of all of the, what of the energy that's in your field, which isn't yours. Marker Cara: Yeah. I love everything that you touched on that energy transmutation is because the meditation that I had come out on April 26 is exactly that it's . Visualizing the light coming through calling back your energy. And I found that practice has been so helpful for me just with my kids. I love them dearly, but they are a little energy suckers of my energy throughout the day. And so I need to have something that's quick that [00:46:00] can kind of bring me back to myself I want to give as much as I can to them. But when I get to a point where my energy is depleted, I'm no help to anyone. so I think if people learned how to kind of reset their energy, when , it's drained from outside sources or even within, I feel like so many people could see the power and especially, this meditation is only five minutes. You know, worth the five minutes to take a moment in the middle of your day before you start your day at the end of your day, just that energy , have that refreshing rejuvenating feeling of that energy leave and that powerful energy come within. And so I love that you share that. Thank you. Natalie: Yeah, again, like you said, five minutes, five minutes is all that really takes. And to that time for yourself to your own energy and to actually come back to. To like a free, a free flow in state, a balanced state, because when you. [00:47:00] move through life from an abundance state, you know, whatever the reason is because emotional balance and mental imbalance, physical balance, or even just energy other people, interfering with your own energy field and not replenishing yourself. because we're always manifested. So you begin to manifest from that, that energetic state. And that's, what's going to continue to show up in your experience. So this is why the importance and the focus should be on bringing you back to inner harmony so that you can manifest them in harmony. Natalie: You can live in harmony. But it, obviously it takes time and it takes regular practice of energy transmutation and looking at yourself deeply and practicing so much practice. There's so much practice involved, but that's the fun of it. (AD could go here) Cara: Something that is well-known in the spiritual community is our chakras. And I know that comes into play with our energy. And I was wondering how you incorporate working with the chakras and healing energy. Natalie: I work [00:48:00] with the chakra system daily. It's something that. This time last year, I didn't know about the energy energy centers over time, as you, as I've healed those parts of the centers intuitively I'm drawn, I'm interesting to see Jordan to different foods, different colors, and like the guides always communicated when it comes to the shakras. Because even when we look at the electromagnetic spectrum as well, and that the colors that show Cara: Okay. Natalie: the show there and the wavelength of light, that the vibration from, the frequencies as well, it's the same with our energy. I can't, I shut the system. So for me, with the root, that's all, obviously the, the self stupidity self-reliance being grounded in the physical, the physical realm and a complete assurance and acceptance of who you are. Now chakra, just as like a tree, you have to start at the bottom. can't jump to your fire die. You can't jump to connection with spirit that is naturally there. But the point is to get you, you as an [00:49:00] individual, think of yourself as a set, as a tree that you've got to get that, that root your foundation, stable and heal the trauma, the fear, because they're the lowest vibrations, fear and jealousy and identifying those versus what I do. And then move up into the sacrum where that's, where more energy is, is it can be trapped like emotional instability and old emotional wounds as this is the feeling center, the central center, and really starting from the bottom of the shoppers. So uh, if there's a particular day and I. Project or I speak from a place of trauma. I have to really ask myself what is imbalanced right now. And if there's fear based force, and I immediately know that it's my root shakra. So I have to immediately go to the root cause of what's happening there. And if my root chakra is out of balance, then that means that , my crown Cranshaw is going to be out of balance because as a tree it's not standing up, it's just, yeah. And Jessica all over the place, but healing with [00:50:00] food , sound I'm hearing as well. So, so fake frequencies, daily crystals wearing colors in association, if I want to amplify any energy or to serve any energy, like my energy centers and continual shadow work as well, it's generally a daily thing. Marker Cara: It is thank you for sharing that. You're right about that. I feel like most people's root chakras are, depleted . And so it's affecting everywhere else. I feel like so many people in their minds. the only way that we can kind of get out of our minds is to connect with our root chakra and get in our body. But I think it's , a good point to say, start with your route focus within that because anytime I don't feel grounded in my body, it's ultimately because my root chakra is in alignment with the rest of my body. Natalie: Yeah, exactly. And like you said, that there is a lot of emphasis I find in the spiritual community of how do I become more intuitive? How do I connect with my guides? How can I expand in this way? But the [00:51:00] truth of the matter is, as we said, it comes back down to you addressing the root, the root cause and view as an energy body, you should be going back down to your room and hearing that because you can't build the roof of a house about building the foundation. So start where you're meant to start and anything to do with nature as well. Like water, like being in water, like you said, obviously, being in your physical body Spending time being present, which I know from personal experience, it's been very difficult to be present when the mind is so active, but that's part of the head and journey is learning how to be present in your own physical body in a way that works for you. Cara: Yeah, I definitely have found that. Getting out of my mind and into my body was a very hard practice, but it took, , consistency and showing up for myself every day. And once I learned that it was ultimately mind blowing to understand that, , having those thought loops in your head, aren't really doing anybody, any good, , you're focusing on things. [00:52:00] You're not really actually being productive with it. And if you could go in your body and see how it makes you feel, a lot of times the solution will come to you when you get out of your head and into your body. So finding space for that is important and as a practice, it takes time to get there, Natalie: absolutely. It really does. And yeah , you've got to start from the bottom so that you could see the road ahead , clearly, rather than powdered vision Cara: now I love the readings that you give on tiktok and I was wondering if you could give me, just a couple minute readings, so listeners can know what to expect when they get a reading from you. Natalie: Okay, So what I'm going to do we get started, I will just take a moment to connect to my center, to connect with your guides and we'll see what comes out. And if you have a question that you'd like to ask, then we we'll get to that. So first of all, if I just take a moment to cleanse kinds of space, and if you could keep [00:53:00] your loosen up your body and make sure that nothing's crossed, and it's just easier for me to feel the flow of your own energy, if you just take a deep. Amazingly, what I'm feeling is like my power centers and my solar plexus is amplified. So you. may be experiencing an expansion of your solar plexus, which again, like I said, is your personal power and the way that you, your personal confidence as well. So see what the guides have got to say. Do you have any questions specifically you'd like to ask or would you like to see what comes through? Cara: I would just love to see what come through. Natalie: Brilliant. Okay. [00:54:00] Wow. So this is there's a lot that's going on here. There's a lot that's going on in this region that I've just pulled. do have the 10 of cups in, at the bus of the deck thing. this is the energy that you're moving into. And I have the queen of cups here, which is looking back on this your past. Now what's interesting to me is the way that the devil has come out with toxic tendencies and we've moving forward and having an abundance of options, still figuring out which option to take. Now the wheel, the wheel is, is turn in. However, spirits , maybe putting you back at this time to bring you into a, an emperor Empress energy. Because right now there's a happy go lucky and a very passionate, very fast driven pace that you're moving out. And it's because you may be trying to move away from old behaviors and self-delusion as well moving into in you found level of awareness.[00:55:00] Which is allowing you to move out of your head and begin something which is emotional for them and will bring you happiness for quite a long time to come. But it's just slowly moving out of this energy right now. And it seems like a very much a pause I can emotional pores, are being put on by the universe. Do you have any questions with this energy? Anything you want to clarify? Cara: I don't think so. I feel like that all resonates. So much, I feel like, , my fire Aries is always moving fast and, you know, being reminded that I need to take a step back to kind of remember why, what I'm doing and why I'm doing it is a daily that I need to come back to. Thank you for sharing that, that, that all resonates so much with me. Natalie: You're welcome. And again, see it's a journey, isn't it? And the journey is, is any words. And I could see, especially with all of these cups, okay. It's an emotionally fulfilling journey [00:56:00] and I'm glad that I'm a part of it as well. I really do appreciate it. Cara: Yeah, I'm so happy that you're a part of it too. And that cup energy. I pulled some cards last night and I had two of my three cards was cup energy as well. So I feel like the cups are around me right now. Natalie: Yes, Yeah. Emotional new beginning. Cara: I have many friends who are trying to build their soul driven businesses, but finding the right way to show up online is a big block. I know I certainly have that reoccurring issue and I've seen what you've done for yourself on Tik TOK, and I find it inspiring and I love it. And I just love how you are authentically yourself. And I want to know if there is any suggestions you have for anyone who's trying to do that for themselves in their businesses. Natalie: I'd say just do it. And that sounds so unhelpful when I say out loud, but let me go into it a little bit deeper because when you're on this journey inwards, you're going to meet different [00:57:00] versions of yourself. And rather than waiting to the point where you find the most perfect version of self, which in actual fact is kind of you up to fail because we're always on this journey. So there's never going to be the perfect point of self. And embracing every version of yourself and just letting yourself be. I find that from my journey I allowed myself to be. And I did have a little bit of a nerve and I still have a little bit of a nerve, but I think me, that's the way that I express myself I suppose it's almost like an unfounded, confidence, The fact that I know that I'm moving forward in a productive way and I'm moving out of love, helps me to give more of myself because I know that it's not coming , from an awful place. So that's part of my authenticity and moving with my seasons, because I, don't like to hold myself to. A version of me, I believe that this journey is about growing and [00:58:00] experience in past versions and, , embracing new ways of being within myself. That helps me to, just to be, because , I'm not tied down to who I think I am. , I just allow myself to be. Cara: Yeah, I love that. I find just the simplicity of saying like you're moving forward and you're coming with love, I think is a huge inspiration because I think sometimes we overthink it of what we're supposed to do and what other people are doing. you can just kind of come within and, think about who you are today and not holding onto who you were yesterday, or who are you going to be? Tomorrow focus on yourself now, move forward and come back to love. It's a big takeaway from that. I know it seems simple, but it seems empowering. It's kind, kinda, it's what I needed to hear, to show up more online. Cause I always get stuck in my head about that. Natalie: it can be really easy to do that. I know the times I've been stuck in my own head of, I will experience a new version of myself and if it, how can I portray [00:59:00] this? But in actual fact, we're moving through life, there's going to be days where we feel more playful and there's going to be days where we're in our masculine energy. to be days where we just want to sit back and relax. I find that just embrace it every single day with every single version that , wants to come free me and allowing that to just be, and people wouldn't talk to in the lens that. they've got. And again, it goes back to not being emotionally responsible for people's reactions and the people's perception , of who we are, because at the end of the day, the whole journey is just to be, and one day at a time, Cara: Yeah, we're human beings, not human doings. Natalie: I love that. Cara: I feel like. Isn't that hustle mentality. I always have to remind myself because I am to be a doer, but I also find that do things past the point of listening to my intuition. And so I get to a point where I've worked so far ahead, and then I wonder why [01:00:00] it's not working and it's, I forgot to stop on the way and be, and how that makes me feel. And so I've been doing a lot of my goals in the idea of how they make me feel versus the things I actually accomplish. And so that's really helped me be and feel versus always doing. Natalie: right. That is so inspiring because it can be very, very easy to get lost in the outcome. And if, like you said, if you just be, and it's just pure energy that you're putting in. And you, the outcome, the manifestation may not actually arrive for a year for 10 years for, till the next lifetime. So that's why it's important to just try and be. And whilst it's oh, easier said than done, it's a practice and you know, it takes time, but we'll all get there in our own way. And the way that. Cara: Yeah, definitely. I had some recent, doubt and disappointments within myself. It was more internally than externally. And so I [01:01:00] had the practice of surrendering and asking the universe to show me. It's crazy how much it delivered this week. And so I feel like anytime you're, lost, it's like take a moment, surrender and ask to be shown the way. , that practice of surrendering, it will come, whatever that needs to be, it might be you need to rest. It might need to be, aligned but I feel like the universe will tell you what energy you need. If you just ask and surrender into that, Natalie: Absolutely. And it goes back to going back to the, the feminine flight. Yeah, it's just a simple flow of self. What do I need right now? And just slow it down so you can see clearly. And then when it's time, your masculinity shall pick back up again and you'll be on your way. And it's just a continuous cycle. Cara: Yes, just talking about the masculine and feminine real quick is my birth chart is very masculine and found that the biggest thing for me to heal [01:02:00] myself from the hustle masculine mentality to use my menstrual cycle I went my whole life. Not really experiencing it because I was on birth control. And so getting off birth control and using. My seasons of my cycle to kind of guide me into the intentions I was supposed to be bringing each season I was going through was mind blowing for me. So I just wanted to mention anyone who has a hard time getting out of the masculine, doing hustle mentality. , if they experienced a cycle, I would highly suggest using their cycle to help guide you back to that feminine nature, because I was not connected to mine for a large chunk of my life until recently. Natalie: find that absolutely beautiful because I hear a lot. I unfortunately I've had difficulties since I was a teenager with my menstrual cycle., if you do have physical health problems or whatever, it may be tuning into the energies of the moon is another great way [01:03:00] to tap into that energy. So you can. The amplification of the feminine flow at the full moon and th th the masculine energy and the new moon, and really just going through that cycle, even if you don't have a menstrual cycle is . Another great way to stay in tune with the energy with yourself and stay connected and on your path of is Cara: Okay. I love that you brought that up. I actually have a. Graph of showing how, to experience that complete cycle, whether it's through your menstrual cycle or the moon cycle, how they sync up. so there's something to it. So yes, if you don't experience a menstrual cycle, please follow the moon cycle and I'll, link something in the show notes. So people can see a menstrual cycle, a moon cycle even a project cycle. You know, if you're working on a project, how the steps of all that actually can sync up use that to your advantage, there's times to plan it out and think of your strategic action. [01:04:00] There's times to do the project and collaborate on it. And there's times to work on the details and then there's time to reflect on it. And those are those steps. Those, cycle seasons of that all reflect at the same time. So I'll post something in the show notes. So you guys can see how they all kind of come together help you in just connecting with that and using that energy in your, daily home and work life Natalie: just want to add about the days of the week, because moving with the energies of the season and moving with the moon cycles and moving with the days of the week, which are governed by different planets. you can use that energy to help you with whatever you're working on. So as you use all of them combined, you find yourself just naturally moving at the pace of the universe and , you're in flow with yourself and , you're in the driven mentality. So it's a huge balance of the masculine and feminine. Cara: Yeah, I think so many people [01:05:00] think they're supposed to do all the things all the time and we're just not built that way. You know, we are cyclical beings, whether that's with nature, whether that's what the moon, whether that's with our cycle. And so being able to drive through and do all the things, it's just not meant for us. And I think so many people have been. Right to burn out because that is what they think is expected of us. And until you kind of take a step back and honor, what feels right to you in the moment and like, you said with the days of the week with the moon and you kind of sit and feel that, things become easier. It is a flow with the universe versus like going up a river upstream. And so I encourage anyone to kind of honor that and work with it. And it's like, you don't have to completely change your life and quit your job to do that. It's just doing the right tasks, cleaning your house and planning this and, doing all those things in a way that feels more natural and good to you versus trying to get the things done because you think that is what you're supposed to do. Natalie: Right. Yeah, [01:06:00] absolutely. Move in your own float. That's that's the key. Cara: Now, what is something that our listeners can take home today to work on the relationship with their intuition? Natalie: Empty your mind, that is going to allow you to release so much unnecessary energy that you intentionally or unintentionally I've been holding. So that can look like journaling, that can like singing whatever you feel intuitively drawn to, to release what's going on in your mind, that's going to actually allow for an energy clearance allow for you to tap back into yourself tap back into your intuition. like in a much clearer way. journaling then meditation, and bringing yourself back to and in a harmony. However you do is going to help you to see yourself curvy and to be guided by your intuition. And make use of your guides, your angels, your ancestors, they are always with you. They are absolutely incredible. And you've just got to ask just know that [01:07:00] you are being guided. You are being protected and there is help out there beyond what you can see to trust that Everything. is happening for you. Not to you. Cara: Everything you just said. Yes. I can say for myself, that's exactly what has helped me connect with my intuition because I was so much in my head and quieting the mind has helped me connect and asking for help our guides. I can't tell you how many times I forget that. And then anytime I do, , it comes right forth. Whatever I need in that moment, it might not be what I think I need, but usually what I need is, serve to me on a platter if I just ask. So thank you for sharing that Natalie: you're welcome. I'm super glad to be here. Cara: I'd love to hear what offerings you have to help our listeners in their journey. Natalie: Well, at the moment I have tarot readings available. So if anybody would like to get to the root cause of what they're struggling with and , I connect with your guides and connect with your [01:08:00] energy field and fuse the two and allow the channel first just to come through to help you when you're healing journey. So there's some of that I temporarily offer and it's something which help to act as a pivotal point in your spiritual journey, your healing journey. Cara: Yes, it's helped me. And one thing I wanted to mention about the reading that you did for me is I've been told many times by other healers that my, solar plexus shines very bright. So that's been a reoccurring message I've gotten from multiple people. Natalie: Yeah, absolutely active, side solar plexus, and it's great at this time. Like if anybody has any questions or that they'd like to know about than happy for you to send me a DM, I'd love that. And can talk about a way which I can communicate it for you. whether that be on videos or free writing, whatever it looks like So. that we can assist you. Like I can assist you on your, on your healing journey in different ways. Cara: I [01:09:00] love that. . So where can the listeners find you? Are you most active on tik-tok Instagram Natalie: is a, is a great one. You can pop me an email. That's also another one.
