Harnessing the Power of Your Inner Authority

Have you ever felt like you had a sixth sense when it came to making decisions? Have you ever wondered why some people can make choices with such confidence and conviction, while others are left feeling lost and confused? The answer may lie in Human Design. Human Design is an ancient system that reveals the unique energy centers within each of us and how they influence our lives. In this blog post, we’ll explore how understanding your Human Design can help you tap into your inner authority and live a purposeful life full of fulfillment.

What is Inner Authority?

The Authority is how we make decisions and is based on what centers are defined in the chart. We have been conditioned to use our minds to make decisions but there is no direct connection to the motor centers of the Heart, Sacral, Self, or Root therefore, it doesn’t have the power to move us forward. The mind is meant to process, not decide. Tap into your inner authority to make wiser decisions.

Inner Authority is the power within us to make decisions based on our intuition and understanding. It’s about trusting yourself to make the right choices for your life, even in challenging situations. According to Human Design principles, everyone has a different type of Inner Authority depending on their individual design.

There are six types:

 

Each type has its own strengths and weaknesses. For example, someone with emotional authority may have difficulty making decisions without getting caught up in their own emotions. Understanding which type of authority you have can help you develop strategies for making better decisions that are aligned with your values.

Using Human Design Principles To Unlock Your Inner Authority

Once you understand which type of Inner Authority you have, it’s time to start using it! Using Human Design principles, you can unlock your personal power by learning to trust yourself more deeply and make decisions from a place of love rather than fear or doubt. Start by noticing patterns or behaviors that don’t align with who you truly are. Identify any areas where you lack self-confidence or struggle with decision-making, then take steps to build up those areas so that they become stronger over time. Additionally, practice tuning into your intuition more often – this will help strengthen your connection with your inner authority so that it becomes second nature when making important life decisions.

Emotional/Solar Plexus: Be emotionally clear

You must seek emotional clarity before making any decisions. Don’t make rash decisions.

Feeling overwhelmed by emotions can make decision-making a difficult task, leaving you feeling stuck. Using your emotional authority encourages you to be emotionally clear before making a commitment to any decision, and even advises against making rash decisions too soon. Find practices that help support you in taking time to make sure your decisions are right for you. Once you have checked in with yourself and taken the necessary time to process what your feelings are telling you, take note of your initial instinct–but wait a day or two before finally deciding. Remind yourself that changing your mind is ok — clarity does naturally come with time! Make sure those around you know that your ability to make decisions isn’t something that should be rushed.

Recommendations:

Make sure you leave space to process your emotions before committing. Find practices to help support you, like journaling, walking in nature, or meditating. Pay attention to your initial instinct but wait a day or two before making a decision. Clarity comes with time, and changing your mind is ok. Letting those around you know that you don’t make the best decisions when you feel rushed. If you come to a place of trying to justify a decision, it may need to be revised. 



By practicing these steps over time, you’ll soon find that tapping into your inner authority comes naturally and effortlessly! You'll be able to navigate challenging situations with ease and grace as well as identify opportunities that align perfectly with who you are meant to be in this world! And what that means is that you need to be emotionally clear. It is a very common authority and that if you know someone that you love shouldn't make decisions and their emotional roller coaster, that you can maybe better support them too. [00:02:48] Make those wiser decisions. So I encourage you to stick around if you don't have a solar plexus. And authority so that you can empower those around you. [00:02:58] So [00:03:00] emotional authority can be a generator, a manifesting generator or projector, and it means that your emotional center is defined. And so let's back up a little bit and talk about what the inner authority is. If you've just come to this episode. And the inner authority is how we make decisions. And it's how we really can elevate our intuition [00:03:23] when we can make decisions that are connected with our design, it really empowers us to live from a place of purpose so that we can do things that feel good to us. And so learning about your inner authority might seem like a little speckle on your human design, but it's one of the most powerful pieces, because I feel like if you're not living with your inner authority, your design, your type isn't going to resonate. [00:03:47] And so the inner authority is the first. First piece, I feel like the second piece is the strategy. And so I hope that my next series will be on the strategy because it's a really important piece. For you to live these two [00:04:00] aspects for that type to really resonate with you? [00:04:03] So the emotional or solar plexus. Authority, you must seek emotional clarity before making any decisions. Don't make rests decisions. I can understand that's easier said than done. I have a sate girl. I am not an emotional or solar plexus authority. But I can't tell you how many times where I've made decisions and that emotional roller coaster in that storm. it doesn't end up feeling good because you're either. [00:04:30] Super happy, super angry. And it's finding past that point of excitement, finding past that point of anger and being able to sit and kind of connect with yourself to really make the right answer for what you need in that moment. It is important to be clear headed and in touch with your emotions. I know a lot of us have probably not known how to do that in our life. So by mean a way to process your emotions is really important for this authority. [00:04:58] journaling. Walking in [00:05:00] nature, meditating, taking a bath. These are ways that you just give yourself time to be able to process emotions. Sometimes it's talking to someone about your emotions. It's being able to have witness of what you're going through. So if you're ignoring your emotions in the process, you're not going to be able to make decisions that are aligned with your design for a purposeful easeful life. It's going to feel hard because. [00:05:25] You're rushing to the next decision instead of really sitting within to get clearheaded about it. It's like those rash decisions will hurt you down the line. So it's crucial to find that inner voice and listen to it. when you make decisions from a place of hope or fear. It can mislead you and prevent you from. [00:05:44] Understanding what you truly want. In this lifetime. When your emotions get heightened, they paint a picture. That's not sustainable. So if there's so much excitement about something, you make that decision when you're super excited for it. And then you're coming down [00:06:00] from that high of excitement and you realize. [00:06:02] Oh, that doesn't feel as exciting as it wants does. It's probably not. The right answer for you. So being able to take a step back, witness your emotions will bring a place of power in clarity. [00:06:15] No, that it's takes practice and it could be a complex. Process for you. But it is so worth it. To give your space. Time. To be able to. Let those emotions communicate with you. And being able to trust yourself in the process and finding that emotional balance, you will find clarity. So I recommend when you have this authority is to wait a day or two, make sure you're through the storm, through the excitement, through the world. When whenever that situation is bringing you, if you can wait a day or two. [00:06:46] It's going to empower you to make those better decisions. If someone's rushing you to make a decision. Maybe this is the time to communicate and say, I need a few days. So please put that in your consideration. When you need a [00:07:00] decision from me. And so it's understanding that's how you're built to make decisions and that it's up to you to communicate. [00:07:06] That with other people so that they know how to empower you to bring out the best in yourself. And again, sounds easier than it is. But boundaries and setting those examples of what you need to thrive. Is the best investment you can put in yourself. [00:07:20] When you begin to honor your emotional authority, you will begin to trust that decisions are made over time and not in the moment. that changing your mind is okay. When a decision is wrong. You will felt excited when it was presented to you. And then you lose. That feeling of excitement. It's probably time to say no to whatever it is. [00:07:39] It's time to have that talk. That is harder. if you look at as an aspect of being upfront that need time and telling people that isn't it better than I'm. myself time to be able to answer that then to give you a yes and then have to turn around and say no, we don't want to let people down and in this lifetime, Understands that it's okay to let people down. [00:08:00] It's not okay to let yourself down over and over again, because what you do is important. If you don't listen to that authority, you'll get burnt out in the process. [00:08:08] If you've spent time trying to justify a decision. Or felt rushed making decision. Then it's probably not the right decision in that moment. [00:08:18] My recommendations with this authority is make sure you leave space to process your emotions before committing. [00:08:24] Find the practices to help support you. Build that toolkit. Journaling walking in nature, meditating. Pay attention to your initial instinct. wait a day or two. Before you make the decision. Clarity comes with time. And changing your mind is okay. Letting those around, you know, that you don't make the best decisions when you feel rushed is the best thing that you can do for yourself. And those around you. [00:08:48] Setting those expectations. If you. Are trying to justify then it's probably not the right decision. [00:09:57] And a deep breath out.[00:10:00] [00:10:02] And the more you practice. With this connection. The stronger, it will become. [00:10:08] Take a deep breath in. [00:10:19] And a deep breath out. [00:10:26] Having an emotional authority means that you need to leave time and space for you. To make decisions. [00:10:35] When you have. A wave of emotions. You are not meant to make a decision. That is right for your mind, body and soul. [00:10:47] When your emotions get heightened. [00:11:00] [00:11:00] It does not leave us to make sustainable decisions. [00:11:10] If you've made a decision. And the wave of excitement. And that it no longer. Feels good to you. Then it might be time to take a step back. To witness your emotions. [00:11:26] And bring in. The power of clarity. [00:11:29] This process will take practice. [00:11:38] And knowing that your emotions. Or trying to communicate with you. [00:11:48] And that learning to trust yourself in the process. To find your emotional balance. You will find clarity with your decisions.[00:12:00] [00:12:02] So take a deep breath in. And a deep breath out. [00:12:07] And no. That you may need to spend. A few times in the next couple of days to connect with your emotions. To see what they're telling you. [00:12:21] You're not meant to be rushed when you need to make a decision. [00:12:28] And that. [00:12:31] It's up to you to communicate your needs around this. [00:12:35] So learning to trust that your decisions are made over time. And not in the moment. And that changing your mind is okay. [00:12:57] Take a deep breath in. [00:13:00] And a deep breath out. [00:13:07] Remember, it's easier to say no or not right now. Then having to. Go back. And change your answer. [00:13:20] It's okay to let people down. [00:13:23] It is not okay to let yourself down over and over again. [00:13:31] Take a deep breath in. And a deep breath out. [00:13:35] Let's think of a question that the answer is yes. To. And I want to ask yourself this question. And see what it feels like for you. [00:13:49] Feeling your body. See where it lives. [00:13:54] Give yourself the time. To feel it. Run through your energy centers.[00:14:00] [00:14:02] Now, ask yourself a question that, you know, the answer is no. [00:14:10] And see where it comes through in your body. [00:14:19] The more you practice. Feeling your decisions within your body? And leaving time and space to process. The stronger. Your relationship. With making decisions will become. [00:14:35] And just remember. If you're trying to justify. [00:14:43] Then it's probably not the right decision.
